Had a fillet on Mother's Day. It was done to perfection and delicious. The Shrimp cocktail is always good..

Came here for the first time & i had the potstickers & asian salad. Absolutely delicious! I recommend this place 1000% it’s so yummy & so much flavor that comes with it! My server was kerrigan, she was very attentive & had a lot of knowledge about the menu! She was even the one to suggested the asian salad & i’ll definitely be craving this everyday! She was very bubbly! i’ll definitely be coming back!

Hidden gem in McHenry. Great food, great service, reasonable prices and lots of fun. Edit: We have eaten here many times and every experience has been great. On Saturday I had the mahi mahi sandwich with potato salad and coleslaw. I think I come here just for the potato salad. It's so good.

Honestly surprised food was really good. I ordered the jumbo shrimp n tots with a Malibu n sprite. My husband had the lake perch fried with tots and Kentucky mule. No complaints on any of this. Most definitely will be back. Staff was super nice, attentive.

Started with Fried Calamari Steaks (like strips) and the Potstickers. Equally delicious. Main course, our table was split between Monday Specials: Steak and Lobster with Dill Potatoes and Wolf Fish in Creamy Garlic Sauce with Veg Medley. Both meals were amazing. Words don't accurately describe how good the food was tonight. And decent portion sizes. Sorry forgot to take pics, too eager to start eating. Service was great, very attentive, and super friendly. Convenient parking. Our first time here while visiting family and we'll def go back again.

After the Fox has been open for over forty years owned by the same family. I love going to After the Fox to eat and drink!

I was going through some old photos with my friend Pearl and found one of After the Fox. In true Pearl fashion, she wrote on the back that she ate here, but that they had no pickles. Pearl passed away in August with no family left behind, so I decided she would appreciate her memorial being held at After the Fox, the place where she once had a good day in 1994. The owner (or manager?) Shawn was patient at working out a day and time, and gave us a room off to the side for us to gather. It was the perfect space — not isolated, and yet intimate. The small memorial went over wonderfully. We had space to mingle, the service was attentive and understanding of our individual check needs, and the menu had a really nice variety. I ordered a burger, and yes Pearl, there were pickles. I will definitely be coming back to check out the rest of the menu, but I also love that it seems like an inviting place to grab a drink and meet up with friends.

We came here on a whim and passing through looking for some dinner. I really liked this place. The inside was dim which I liked. It was my style and I liked being able to look outside the windows at the lake in the back. The waitress was amazing and attentive and nice. The food was sooooo good. I definitely recommend the place if you’re looking for some food!
